Price Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month
Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15th to October 15th.
“What began as Hispanic Heritage Week in 1968 officially became Hispanic Heritage Month with President Ronald Reagan’s signature twenty years later,” said Congressman Price. “But Hispanic Americans have been contributing to our great nation for far longer than that. As a large and growing segment of our population, Hispanic Americans play an integral role in our community and our economy. The millions of businesses owned by Hispanic Americans illustrate that the American dream is still alive and well. I hope all Americans will join in recognition of the countless contributions made to our society by citizens of Hispanic descent. As Americans, the future we share will surely be bright.”
