Price Applauds IRS Decision to Cut Ties with ACORN

Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement after the Internal Revenue Service announced that ACORN would no longer be allowed to participate in its volunteer tax assistance program.

“The IRS has made the right decision by severing ties with ACORN,” said Chairman Price. “In addition to ACORN’s long history of fraud and corruption, ACORN employees were caught on tape advising how to claim tax deductions for child prostitutes. It’s clear that this organization has no respect for the law and no business participating in this or any federal program. This decision is a welcome step, yet taxpayers will not be satisfied until ACORN is flushed out of all corners of the government.”
