Price Statement on Flooding in Georgia

Congressman Tom Price (GA-06) issued the following statement regarding the devastating flooding in Georgia.

“The flooding in recent days has caused terrible suffering for many Georgians,” said Congressman Price. “Though the rain has not yet ceased, we have already begun to address how we recover from the damage the water has caused. Governor Perdue has asked President Obama to expeditiously declare a major disaster in Georgia. Today, I, along with Georgia’s entire congressional delegation, sent a letter to the President in support of Governor Perdue’s request. It is essential that the appropriate resources get to where they are needed so the recovery process can begin. As we continue to monitor this situation, I am committed to ensuring that our community gets back on its feet as quickly as possible. In the mean time, my thoughts and prayers are with all those who are enduring the loss of property and even loved ones.”
