Price Again Requests Meeting with President on Health Care Reform
Congressman Tom Price sent the following letter to the President this week requesting a meeting on health care reform. This request follows two previous formal requests and weekly staff level contacts asking for a meeting to discuss solutions to the challenges facing America.

Dear Mr. President:
On behalf of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), the largest caucus in the U. S. House of Representatives, with more than 110 social and economic conservatives, I respectfully request a meeting with you and other leading RSC Members to discuss issues of mutual concern and priorities for our nation.
We remain encouraged by your repeated assertions that you will work with Republicans on key issues such as health care reform. For example, in late July of this year, you said the following regarding the development of health care legislation with Members of Congress: “If they want to come over to the White House and go over line by line what's going on, I will be happy to do that.” We take you up on your generous offer.
As the House’s largest multi-issues caucus, the RSC has become known as a fountain of robust, forward-thinking ideas and bold action—and thus would surely be a resource for you in your presidency. In July of this year, we introduced the Empowering Patients First Act (H.R. 3400), a patient-centered approach to health reform. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss this legislation and other leading policy matters.
We appreciate your positive consideration of this request. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom Price, M.D.
Member of Congress, Sixth District of Georgia
