Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement after speaking to an energized crowd at the September 12th Taxpayer March on Washington.

“Today, thousands upon thousands of Americans came together from across the country to express their disgust with the outrageous policies emanating from Washington,” said Congressman Price. “The patriots who marched on Washington this weekend love their country and they refuse to sit idly by as Washington advances skyrocketing deficits, taxpayer-funded bailouts, pork-barrel projects, burdensome taxes, unaccountable policy czars, and a government takeover of health care. They understand that our fundamental American principles of limited government and liberty are under assault.

“It was an honor to speak before such a dedicated group of freedom-loving Americans who believe in open, accountable, and responsible government. Those values have been missing in Washington for far too long, but the participants in this weekend’s events fully intend to make them prominent once more. When the American people take back control of their government, it will be due in large part to the efforts of the thousands who marched on Washington today.”
