Georgians Come Out to Support Patient-Centered Solutions
Last night, Congressman Tom Price (GA-06) held a health care town hall meeting at Roswell High School that was attended by more than 1,500 people.
“The turnout at last night’s town hall illustrated once again that our community has an intense interest in the outcome of the national debate on health care reform,” said Congressman Price. “The more than 1,500 attendees came from a variety of backgrounds, yet they overwhelmingly supported patient-centered solutions rather than more government control. It is truly an honor to represent so many fine folks who are willing to speak up and participate in the democratic process.
“Health care reform will impact us all, and Americans will not simply sit back and watch while so many in Washington push for a radical, government takeover of health care. The status quo is not acceptable, but the American people desire reform that improves those areas of our system that are failing while preserving those that perform well. As the debate in Washington begins again in earnest, the message I will bring back from my constituents is that that they want health care reform that truly empowers patients first.”
