Price Says Make August ‘America’s Right to Know Month’
Health Care Reform Requires Deliberation, Understanding
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Price (R-GA) issued the following statement urging Speaker Pelosi to delay a vote on the Democrat health care plan and declare August “America’s Right to Know Month,” so that the American people have a full understanding of the impact of the proposal.
“Every day, Americans grow more concerned about the health care legislation that Speaker Pelosi and President Obama are attempting to ram through Congress,” said Congressman Price. “By now, Democrats should know what happens when they hastily pass legislation. Their proposals will change our nation’s health care forever, and Americans have a right to know every last detail. We declare August to be ‘America’s Right to Know Month’ in order to give the American people and their representatives in Washington the opportunity to examine the Democrats’ health care plan with the thoughtfulness and deliberation it deserves. We call on Speaker Pelosi to do the same.”
Congressman Price joined 25 other House Republicans in signing this letter.
